Image. Image description: On a completely white and smooth wall, under uniform frontal lighting, six circular frames with thin gold borders are arranged horizontally side by side. Each frame contains a black and white portrait of a Black woman. The faces feature interventions in dense black line or embroidery covering parts of the features, such as the eyes or mouth, generating a visual effect of censorship or silencing. From left to right, the first frame shows the portrait of a woman with voluminous Afro hair with a black mark covering from her nose to her chest. The second shows a woman with short hair tied back and a black band over her eyes. The third shows a woman with short braided hair and a black marking over her mouth. The fourth frame shows the portrait of a person with a black intervention over their eyes. The fifth shows a woman with a veil or fabric on her head and dark embroidery in the center. The sixth and last frame shows a woman with short hair and a small dark intervention covering the mouth area. End of description.
