In this course, dialogues between photography and literature will serve as a basis for building paths of understanding about the reading experience and visual text.

What happens when we welcome, in the same book, photography and literature? Do photographic and literary narratives have elements in common? How are these languages articulated to provoke, in the reader, an experience woven between photo and word? Can photography be poetry?

These questions will guide the four meetings in which works by Orides Fontela, Natália Ginzburg, Adolfo Navas, Luciana di Leone, James Wood, Marvel Harris, Annie Ernaux, Maureen Bisilliat, Byung-Hun Min and Graciela Iturbide will be the starting point.
