The course presents elements that contribute to the understanding of the processes of institutionalization of culture within the scope of public policies. The proposed reflections engage with agents, workers and cultural makers, students, researchers in the area and the public interested in the subject. Cultural policies will be addressed based on the diversity of modalities of State action in culture, the historical path of cultural policies in Brazil and the presentation of the National Culture System (SNC).
