MAM's course program is organized into four thematic areas that address modern and contemporary Brazilian art from different perspectives, ranging from artistic production to its distribution, reception and mediation processes, including training aimed at professionals working in cultural institutions. The goal is to promote a broad debate on the social and aesthetic issues that influence the artistic field, in addition to encouraging students to develop a repertoire that is sensitive to the museum's activities, exhibitions and collection.

Offered online and/or in-person, the courses are taught by renowned professionals in areas such as photography, history and art criticism, literature, museology and cultural production. The program aims to serve a diverse audience, including beginners and experts interested in the dissemination and appreciation of contemporary art.
