Printing media: poster workshop

October 19, 2025
15h

on Amanza Alves
local: Tomie Ohtake Institute

In this workshop, we will experiment with an alternative printing medium and its different forms of creation using the lambe-lambe technique — a manifestation of urban art that combines graphic creation, intervention in public space, and visual communication.

Historically, poster-pasting emerged as a practice of pasting posters on the streets, very common in Brazil from 1920 onwards, initially aimed at promoting events such as circus and theater performances. Over time, this language has transformed and consolidated itself as a powerful tool for political, artistic, and collective expression, adopted by social movements, artists, and urban communities.
