The workshop aims to offer participants the opportunity to create their own graphic productions in zine format, introducing them to the history of fanzines and exploring hand-printing and collage processes. Supporting them in their creative process, choosing themes, formats, and layout, using the Zineteria collection as references. This open workshop aims to experiment with possibilities, exchange knowledge, and begin or expand the creation of independent and experimental publications.
Betto Souza
Betto Souza is a visual artist, art educator, poet and researcher with a degree in Information Science and Library Science from the University of São Paulo. Born in the Quebradas de Francisco Morato – SP, he has lived in Ribeirão Preto in the interior of São Paulo since 2015 where he develops educational activities for art exhibitions, teaches workshops and carries out cultural productions. He moves between contemporary languages of art and literature, with drawing and spoken word as his main tools combined with graphic and digital experiments. Founder and manager of the literary artistic collective Encontrão Poético in Francisco Morato – SP, and slammaster of the Slam da cana in Ribeirão Preto – SP.
This free, in-person activity is open to children and their companions of all ages. Registration is required 30 minutes in advance.
