4th Panorama of Current Brazilian Art: Sculpture and Object
Dedicated to sculpture and objects, the 1972 Panorama was the last exhibition of the first cycle of alternating artistic techniques between editions of the exhibition. By contemplating the category of objects, in addition to sculpture, the 4th Panorama demonstrated its contemporary character, since many three-dimensional works do not conform to the conventional definition of sculpture (that is, a work that results from the act of sculpting).
71 artists and almost 200 works participated, and Ascânio MMM, in sculpture, and Yutaka Toyota, in object, were awarded.
