O Museum of Modern Art of São Paulo has been temporarily out of its headquarters in Ibirapuera Park since August 2024 due to the renovation of the marquee, carried out by the Secretariat of Green and Environment of the City of São Paulo. Initially scheduled to take place between September 2024 and January 2025, the intervention in the museum section was extended, and the return of the MAM to the Park is scheduled for 2026.
Meanwhile, the MAM keep your exhibition calendar with the support of partner institutions and strengthens its presence in different cultural spaces.
The calendar of courses of MAM continues in online format, expanding access to different audiences. The MAM Educational continues with hybrid activities, including training for educators and free actions.
The MAM Store and the Collectors Club remain available online, with the websites www.lojamam.org.br e www.clubecolecionadoresmam.org.br.
“We thank the MAC USP, Fundação Bienal de São Paulo, Mario de Andrade Library, SESI-SP e Sesc Sao Paulo, partner institutions, which opened their doors to MAM during this period of renovation of the marquee. Even temporarily outside our headquarters, we remain active, taking our exhibitions to different audiences and keeping our educational activities alive”, says Elizabeth Machado, president of MAM Sao Paulo.

Because the marquee at Ibirapuera Park, where MAM is located, is undergoing renovations throughout its structure and is expected to fully reopen to the public in 2026.
During the period of renovation of the marquee, the MAM maintains its in-person programming with the support of partner institutions and reinforces its presence in different cultural spaces.

The activities offered by Educational MAM are free and the agenda can be checked on the MAM website. For online activities, registration can be done through each activity page on the museum's website. Registration for in-person activities takes place at the venue, 30 minutes before each activity begins.
