The Paulo Mendes de Almeida Library of MAM São Paulo is a reference for the study and research of modern and contemporary art, and its bibliographical collection includes a vast collection of books and catalogues. In conjunction with the Luís Martins Study Center, which brings together documentation from personal archives of Brazilian art ideologists, as well as the institutional memory of the Museum itself, the Library offers unique materials from the field of arts to visitors and visitors.
The MAM São Paulo Research Lab, by encouraging research, aims to expand dialogues between the museum's collection and recent bibliography; enable the emergence of new approaches to the works and artists that make up the history of the collection itself; and, also, provide critical, thematic analyses, and documentary surveys to expand the study of the history of modern and contemporary Brazilian art.
MAM Debate is an initiative that, through seminars and publications, seeks to promote reflections, research and debates around issues involving modern and contemporary art and also others directly related to MAM São Paulo, its past and its activities in the present. It is a prospecting platform for possible actions by the museum in the future based on historical and emerging issues.
